City & Guilds 2391-10 (Inspection & Testing) Home Study Course & Written Assessment 2391-301

Quick Facts about the City & Guilds 2391-10 (Inspection & Testing):

• The City & Guilds 2391-10 (Inspection & Testing) consists of two Assessments: a 2.5 hour closed book Written Assessment 2391-301 and a 4 hour Practical Assessment 2391-302. Please note that the City & Guilds 2391-10 qualification - City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate in the Certification of Electrical Installations (inspection, testing and certification of electrical installations) (2391-10) - cannot be attained until both of these units have been completed
• The 2.5 hour Written Assessment 2391-301 is closed book and consists of 26 questions – 20 short answer questions (1 hour approximately) and 6 structured questions (1.5 hours approximately)
• The 4 hour Practical Assessment 2391-302 consists of various practical activities allowing the Candidate to demonstrate a practical application of the testing inspection, testing and certification of electrical installations
• All necessary tools to complete the Practical Assessment 2391-302 will be provided at the Test Centre
• Results are provided in the form of a Unit Credit for each Assessment that is completed successfully (Written Assessment 2391-301 and/or Practical Assessment 2391-302). Once both Assessments have been completed, City & Guilds will issue a Certificate for the qualification: City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate in the Certification of Electrical Installations (inspection, testing and certification of electrical installations) (2391-10)
• The Home Study Course includes the Requirements for Electrical Installations On-Site Guide - IEE Wiring Regulations Seventeenth Edition (BS 7671:2008), IEE Guidance Note 3 Inspection & Testing and a 2391 Downloadable Home Study Course* - these are combined as a Package to prepare you thoroughly for the Assessments
• Before attending the Written Assessment 2391-301, study and prepare in your own time with the Downloadable Home Study Course* eliminating the need to take additional time off work for training
• A minimum of 15 guided learning hours (per Assessment) is required before sitting the Assessments

The aim of the Written Assessment 2391-301 is to enable the Candidate to develop the necessary technical knowledge and understanding about the inspection, testing and certification of electrical installations.

The 2.5 hour Written Assessment 2391-301 is closed book and consists of 26 questions – 20 short answer questions (1 hour approximately) and 6 structured questions (1.5 hours approximately)
