The City & Guilds 2377-200 (PAT Testing) Home Study Course & Workshop is available to Candidates who wish to gain their Level 3 Certificate for the Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment.
The City & Guilds 2377-200 (PAT Testing) Home Study Course & Workshop includes:
- The IEE Code of Practice for In-Service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment (3rd edition)
- A Downloadable Home Study Course*
- A small Practical Workshop - for Candidates to develop their PAT testing skills and gain hands on experience before sitting the Exam
- The City & Guilds 2377-200 (PAT Testing) Exam - a 60 minute, GOLA online exam, consisting of 30 multiple choice questions
Before attending the Practical Workshop and sitting the Exam, Candidates are able to study and prepare in their own time with the Downloadable Home Study Course* eliminating the need to take additional time off work for training.
The Downloadable Home Study Course* features a Course Guide to provide Candidates with a thorough overview of the 2377 exam and how best to prepare. An Exam simulator is also included which provides a near identical interface that is used for the City & Guilds Exam. This allows Candidates to practice the 2377 Exam under realistic Exam conditions and with realistic Exam questions.
A minimum of 30 guided learning hours is required before the Candidate can sit the Exam.
On the day of the Exam, Candidates will be required to sign a Declaration stating that they have undertaken the minimum guided learning hours.
The content of the City & Guilds 2377-200 (PAT Testing) Exam is based on City & Guilds Unit 2377-200 Certificate for the Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment. The aim of this unit is to enable the Candidate to demonstrate that they are competent in the inspection and testing of portable electrical appliances and conversant in the IEE Code of Practice for Inspection & Testing of Electrical Equipment (the national standard for the electrical industry in respect of testing of portable electrical equipment in the United Kingdom).
